About the Seaward PrimeTest 50 PAT Tester

It's compact, easy-to-use and does all the basic tests required for PAT testing - if you've been looking for a simple-to-use PAT tester for your business or personal use, look no further than this entry-level instrument from Seaward.

With just three buttons on the front, all you need to do to use the PrimeTest 50 is connect your appliance to the PAT tester than press the right button. The buttons are as follows:

• Class I appliances - earth continuity and insulation testing
• Class II appliances - insulation testing
• Cord - earth continuity, insulation and wiring

All you need to do is determine the class of your application, connect up and press the button. The PrimeTest 50 will do the rest and automatically cycle through appropriate tests and tell if you if the test has passed or failed.

The PrimeTest 50 is what's known as a 'PAT Checker'.  This means that while the tester does perform all basic tests, it does not give you full test readings and instead simply shows if the test has passed or failed. If you require full test readings, the upgraded version of the PrimeTest 50, Seaward's PrimeTest 100, has the ability to show full testing results.

You can use the PrimeTest 50 to test a wide range of appliances - this tester is suitable for class I and class II appliances, IT equipment and associated power leads. You can also use it to test 110V and 415V equipment by using a set of 110V or 415V adapters (sold separately).
