Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester Description

The Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester can be used to conduct the following tests:

• Low current earth continuity test
• Insulation resistance test
• IEC lead test
• Protective conductor current test
• Touch current test
• Load power/ current test
• Alternative leakage current test
• RCD test
• Power socket test

In addition to these tests, the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester can be used to perform point-to-point earth continuity and insulation resistance testing (when used with a suitable OPTIONAL accessory).

The Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester’s extensive testing capabilities make it suitable for checking mid-volumes of workplace appliances in order to ensure compliance with the IET 5^th Edition Code of Practice.

Test results can be saved to this instrument’s extensive memory (2000-measurement capacity). Furthermore, up to twenty-five customised electrical and visual test sequences can be created, allowing the user to tailor the instrument to the application.

In addition to this, the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester is an updated version of the Apollo 400 and as such includes improvements to its firmware, hardware and compatibility; please see below for further details.

What’s New?

Software Update

As this instrument is able to facilitate Bluetooth communication capabilities, it can be used to send information gathered by the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester to a compatible smartphone or tablet. Alternatively, information can be sent to scanners and/or printers.

Furthermore, using the Seaward PAT Guard 3.4 Software with Time Manager (NOT included) test results can be organised into reports and invoices. Additionally, this software, with its Time Manager component can be used to organise teams of workers.

Hardware Update

Test results are viewable via the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester’s high-definition, colour display. In this regard, the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester is the same as its predecessor. Similarly, it too includes a full QWERTY keyboard.

However, this instrument’s design differs from its predecessor’s due to the inclusion of an interchangeable, rechargeable battery which reduces downtime.

Furthermore, it is supplied with a wiring harness, test leads with stronger PVC insulation and resilient probes, making it better suited to use in challenging environments.

Firmware Update

Like the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester’s hardware update, the improvements made to this instrument’s firmware are optimised to improve the practicality and ease-of-use of the tester.

These updates also improve the versatility and adaptability of the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester; improvements include:

• New user permissions for Bluetooth
• Downloaded files can be named using unique identifiers thereby facilitating easy file location
• The asset’s ID is displayed on each test screen
• Items may be deleted from drop-down lists allowing the user to tailor them to his/her purpose
• Advanced search function
• Ability to sort data using specifications including the PASS/ FAIL status of each test result, thereby improving the data view
