The Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester – PAT Essentials Kit (Bundle 1) consists of the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester (supplied with Kewtech’s standard accessories) and an array of additional PAT testing accessories, such as labels, logbook and adapters. Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester Description
The Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester is a non-downloading, battery-operated PAT tester. It can be converted into a fully downloadable PAT tester when used in conjunction with the Kewtech KEWPAT App (NOT included).
This instrument is suitable for PAT testing extension leads, as well as Class I and Class II appliances with and without electronic on/off switches. To this end, it includes pre-programmed test sequences optimised for extension leads, and Class I and Class II appliances. These pre-programmed test sequences can be run via pressing the clearly labelled function buttons.
In addition to this, the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester can be used to perform the following portable appliance checks:
- 200mA continuity check (IT safe)
- Quick continuity test
- 5-second continuity test
- 250V insulation test (IT safe and ideal for testing surge protected extension leads)
- 500V insulation test
- Substitute leakage test
- Polarity check
- 110V load and run test
- 230V load and run test
- Portable RCD test
- Extension lead test
When the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester is used with the Kewtech KEWPAT App these tests may be arranged into personalised test sequences, allowing the user to tailor the SMARTPAT to his/her requirements.
Furthermore, as well as its suitability for testing extension leads, and Class I and Class II appliances, the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester is also optimised for checking 10mA and 30mA RCDs without tripping these components.
The Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester is supplied with an array of accessories which facilitate the user’s ability to adapt the tester to perform the above tests. It is supplied with an EZYEARTH Earth Continuity Test Lead with Probe and Crocodile Clip, EZYLEAD Extension Lead Adapter, and EZYMAIN Mains Lead.
Adding to its extensive testing capabilities, the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester also includes a Test Lead Null setting for nullifying test lead resistance in order to attain accurate resistance measurements. Furthermore, it features an Appliance Pre-check in order to ascertain whether the instrument-under-investigation is powered on or off prior to commencing any checks. This function improves the safety of the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester and can be used to prevent damage to the instrument and the user.
Measurements and test results are indicated on the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester’s large, backlit display. Via this display, the user can view a written PASS or FAIL indication as well as a numerical measurement (where applicable). Moreover, the backlight will change colour in order to indicate whether a test has been passed or failed; this light will change to green to indicate a PASS and will change to red to indicate a FAIL.
As indicated above, the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester is a non-downloading, battery-operated portable appliance tester. It is capable of performing up to 1400 tests over the duration of its replaceable battery’s lifetime. The Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester is an adaptable, comprehensive, and easy-to-use instrument.
