Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester - Battery Operated

The Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester is a Pass/Fail PAT tester which, when used with Kewtech’s KEWPAT app, becomes a full downloading PAT tester. It is battery operated and can conduct up to 1400 tests before the batteries will require replacing.

The Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester features a large, clear, backlit display which turns red when an appliance has failed a test and green when one has passed. This PAT tester is capable of running automatic test sequences for Class I and Class II appliances. These test sequences are accessible via clearly labelled function buttons. Alternatively, the user may utilise Kewtech’s KEWPAT app in order to create personalised test sequences.

The Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester is capable of running the following tests:

• Earth bond at 200mA (IT safe)
• Quick check continuity
• 5-second continuity
• 250V insulation test (ideal for testing surge protected extension leads)
• 500V insulation test
• Substitute leakage test with selectable substitute leakage limits (110V or 230V)
• Extension lead test
• Portable RCD tests 10mA and 30mA

In addition to its extensive testing capabilities, the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester also includes a number of additional items optimised to extend its scope-for-use and ensure that it is easy-to-operate. It includes an extension lead adapter; an earth continuity test lead with probe and crocodile clip, and a mains lead.

Finally, the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester includes an appliance status pre-check and test lead nulling feature designed to improve the accuracy and safety of this PAT tester.

KEWPAT App Description

PLEASE NOTE: the KEWPAT App is not supplied with the Kewtech SMARTPAT PAT Tester; it is available for FREE from the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). 

The KEWPAT App is free to download from the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). It can be used with Android and iOS devices and allows the user to control his/her Kewtech SMARTPAT via a compatible smartphone.

Using this app the user can program and initiate portable appliance tests. He/she may customise test sequences, specifying the pass limits, duration and the number of repeats. To help the user create customised, comprehensive tests optimised for specific instruments, the KEWPAT app includes a risk assessment tool. By entering the product and establishment type, the user is able to view the recommended testing frequency for each appliance-under-investigation, as recommended by the Code of Practice. This testing frequency can be adjusted to account for extenuating circumstances, such as dampness.

Viewing the results of these tests is easy as the Kewtech SMARTPAT transmits measurements back to the user's smartphone. Once the results are received the user may add additional information before saving the record to his/her database. Information can also be sent to the user's PC via Wi-Fi. As well as recording written data, the KEWPAT app can be used to save photographs taken of assets (which serve as evidence of visual inspections) to the product register. These capabilities make the KEWPAT App ideal for managing databases and customer information. 

Please note that whilst optimised for use with the Kewtech SMARTPAT, this app can be used with Kewtech's EZYPAT and EZYPAT PLUS to manually collect data and generate reports (Manual mode). 

The KEWPAT App has been optimised to make data collection as comprehensive and easy as possible. To this end, it includes a number of features designed to add to the app's ease of use and efficiency, such as voice prompt help and drop-down menus for customer, site, location and product description information, as well as auto-number increments. Alternatively, this app can be used to acquire data quickly through the scanning of QR data codes and barcodes. 

Finally, the KEWPAT App offers the user the option to send acquired information to print and allows the user to print labels containing the company's logo.
