Seaward Apollo 600+ PAT Tester Description

The Seaward Apollo 600+ PAT Tester has been optimised for testing high-volumes of portable appliances in accordance with the IET 5^th Edition Code of Practice. As such it includes a colour camera with a flash for capturing evidence of visual inspections, as well as the following testing capabilities:

• Low current earth continuity test with zap circuit
• Insulation resistance
• IEC lead test
• Protective conductor current
• Touch current
• Load power/current
• Alternative leakage current
• RCD test
• Power socket test
• Point-to-point fixed appliance testing for earth continuity
• Point-to-point fixed appliance testing for insulation resistance

These checks can be organised into up to 100 electrical and visual inspection sequences which can be saved to the Apollo 600+’s internal memory. This memory also has the capacity to hold up to 2000 photographs and 50 000 test results. Data can be transferred to the user’s PC via a USB cable or to an Android smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. Alternatively, it can be sent directly to a USB flash drive, a capability that is unique to the 600+ model in Seaward’s  Apollo+ range.

In addition to the above checks, the Seaward Apollo 600+ PAT Tester also includes an integrated risk-based retest calculator optimised for determining the suggested retest period for each appliance-under-investigation according to the IET 5^th Edition Code of Practice.

Moreover; this tester is also designed for conducting health and safety checks; to this end it includes:

• A universal risk assessment tool for recording hazards, calculating risk scores, and planning and documenting corrective actions
• Onboard reports for fire detection and emergency lighting

Hardware Features

Once organised, this information can be used to create professional reports. It is also possible to generate invoices using this program and the Time Manager feature facilitates the user’s ability to manage teams of staff.

This instrument also features Bluetooth connectivity enabling it to be used with Seaward’s Bluetooth 2D Elite Barcode Scanner and Test ‘n’ Tag Elite 2 Printer. When used with these OPTIONAL accessories, the Seaward Apollo 600+ PAT Tester is able to scan, read and print labels with QR codes containing information such as the asset ID, the site, the location, the latest test date, and the next test date. This increases testing efficiency.
